REGISTRATION. Participants can preregister online or by mail. Registration is also available on-site. Wrist bands or numbered bibs are given to registrants allowing them to receive a "goody bag" of sponsor provided items, get refreshments at rest stops and join in the after-ride meal. They can also make use of the bike repair technicians and massage therapists. Early registrants also receive a gift and are entered into various prize drawings.
MARKETPLACE. Sponsors can set up tents and tables to display their products or services. Club merchandise is available for sale as well as discounted bike gear.
BIKE MAINTENANCE. Free bike inspection and maintenance is offered to all registered riders. Certified bicycle technicians set up a complete and fully stocked bike repair facility.
RIDE LEADERS. Experienced bike ride leaders, who are familiar with the routes, are available to escort groups on every level of rides. Group rides are posted with different starting times based on route length and level of rider ability.
HAM RADIO. Communication between the main site, rests stops and SAG wagon drivers is maintained by HAM radio operators. This assures a complete communication network between all the facilities especially in areas with limited cell phone service.
REST STOPS. Six rest stops are maintained on the different routes. Comfort stations and nourishment are provided to all riders. Gatorade, water, energy bars, fresh fruits, "pb&j" sandwiches, homemade baked goods and other items are provided.
SAG SUPPORT. (Support and Gear) Roving vehicles are available to assist riders with light mechanical repair services and basic first aid.
POST RIDE MEAL. Sandwiches, drinks, chips, homemade baked goods and frozen treats are served to all riders to celebrate the end of the ride.
